To facilitate and continue our work in Guatemala, we are pleased to partner with the non-profit organization Finding Freedom through Friendship, a Kentucky-based organization that has been helping single mothers and elderly women in Guatemalan villages since 2009. We have been working closely with the extraordinary Jody Greenlee, FFF's Executive Director, to ensure that our August project is a success for all involved.
Jody is a registered pediatric nurse and the mother of three young adults. She spent many years working in pediatric hematology in neo-natal intensive care units before retiring from hospital nursing to foster a child from Guatemala who came to the US for surgery. She has since traveled to Guatemala annually for 14 years providing medical care and overseeing FFF services. Jody also served as Board President of Children of the Americas, a 501(c) 3 organization that provides medical and surgical services to indigent children and their families in rural Guatemala.
FFF volunteers and staff in Guatemala are helping coordinate the August building project so any of you joining us there will meet them.
